In the mid-seventies, I migrated to the United States of America. After achieving the goals of my migration, I, like most Lebanese, dreamt of returning to Lebanon and contributing to its development. Despite the continued war that made my dream of returning more difficult, I refused to surrender to migration. Instead, I depended on the thought of this pine forest in the Lamartine Valley - its picture running through my mind, reviving not only hopes of return, but much more than that.
This valley became my refuge in coping with the speed and pressure of life in America. Whenever I felt tired, I closed my eyes for a moment, and once again, I was that child playing in this very forest. I would see every detail in my mind - the birds, the trees, the wild lavender, the squirrels and porcupines, and images of this wonderful picture which, like a prayer, became a source of comfort and tranquility. In this present day, I have returned to Lebanon and thank God Lebanon has returned to me. The forest had remained just as I left it - beautiful, striking, and calm.
Today, my dream is fulfilled through this resort which is built on a simple idea: without disturbing its pure elements, this nature is for your enjoyment as I had the opportunity to enjoy it. The hotel and country club, restaurants and caves are all built on the shoulders of this beautiful valley, and among its trees, we have combined the most brilliant touristic services in the most beautiful valley of Lebanon.
All of this is for you. Our sincerest welcome.
